Hard to Believe Its Autumn Again!

Where does the time go? The summer has flown by so quickly, and truth be told Calgary has had the crummiest summer I can personally remember. Cold and rainy..... And its not England.
( I have been here since 2001)
The colours on the trees are so beautiful and enchanting- I am going to try to get out and take some photos to post. In the     meantime I will add some inspiring photos( not ones I have personally taken..) of what excites me about this wonderful season.

Christmas Decor

So here are some pictures from my Christmas Decorating this year.. I didn't take any of the dining room table or the kitchen..
This year I bought some boughs.. a few different varieties but I will be completely honest. They looked wonderful, but I didnt notice that they provided that much of a tree-ish smell ( the delicious winter tree smell that everone desires around this time of year) and they were sure messy! Bits of needles and flakes of cedar can still be found all over the main kitchen and living room.. This is the "most beautiful tree in the world" quoted from me as after I saw the photo previously shown.. My home isnt exactly decorated like the promo shot, but I did my best to make it look lovely..
Hope that your January has been off to a wonderful start.. I know for myself now that Christmas is over I am looking forward to Spring and flowers already!!
